Last week I was teaching the most important reading concept to my students, and they told me that I need to create a video about it so they could practice.
What is it....... MAIN IDEA!!
Honestly, if you can identify the main idea of a passage, you will score significantly higher on the reading, science, AND social studies tests.
In this week's video, I teach you about main idea, the purpose, and key points to remember. Of course, we will practice! We review main ideas of a few movies and then dig into nonfiction paragraphs (because those can be the tricky ones!).
